The learning curve.

It's been a busy year of taking pictures.  I finally got that new camera I've been dreaming of.  I got a Nikon D5100.  I do like it.  I am still learning about it.
I bought it back in June.  I immediately had to send the kit lens back for a replacement.  Then the camera sat for a while because I was too intimidated to use it.  I think I'm over that now though.
I took some nice Fall pictures this past weekend.  Here are some samples:

They are part of an album I call Fall Beauty on my Facebook page.

I've been asked by a friend to take some family pictures for them in a couple of weeks.  I'm flattered that they want me when there are so many other more experienced photographers around.  I have been trying to study some poses I can do with them.  I also ordered some filters, reflectors and a book about my camera.  I hope they all come before the shoot, and that I can use them properly.  I ordered a remote release too. That should come in handy.
I took a few pictures of my boys today for school pictures.  I haven't done any editing on them yet though.
